It’s almost that time again, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is quickly approaching! If you’re not familiar with the “#NSale” don’t worry, I’m here to help! This post will break everything down for you, give you the inside scoop and help educate you on what all you can expect from me this year during the sale. Don’t forget to keep an eye on my Instagram the days leading up to and during the actual sale because I’ll be covering a TON (especially on Instagram stories). As always, I recommend turning on post notifications for both my feed and stories. I’m also planning a few fun surprises including exciting Nordstrom giveaways and I’ll be sending exclusive updates to my email list, so make sure you’re subscribed to that as well so you don’t miss out on all the action.
WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 is one of the best ways to save insane money on some of your favorite things from incredible brands (for both women and men)- ALL things fashion, beauty, home decor, kids stuff, and so much more. And we’re not talking about things that have been on the shelf that aren't selling… The items included in this sale are all NEW ARRIVALS that will be around all season long. During the sale these items are discounted at 40-75% off (and in some cases, even more!). This is the ideal time to stock up on everything you need for the fall at the absolute best prices offered all season long. Although the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is famous for having the hottest items on sale as soon as they hit the shelf, it is also notorious for how quickly good items sell out!
Remember: Once this sale is over, it’s over. Everything that is left will go back up to full price. Trust me when I say that this sale is intense and the good stuff sells out SUPER fast. It’s important to be prepared so you won’t miss out on the things you’ve had your eye on!
TIPS ON HOW TO GET EARLY ACCESS + MORE
TIP 1: KNOW THE DATES + MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
DATES OF THE 2019 N-SALE:
JULY 9-11 – Sale is open to premium/platinum/ambassadors/VIP!
JULY 12 – Sale is open to Nordstrom cardholders ONLY! Anyone can see the items on sale online and in-store but ONLY cardholders will be able to actually purchase them! (TIP: If you know someone with a Nordstrom card, see if you can go in on purchasing items together so you can get early access!)
JULY 19 – Sale is open to the PUBLIC! Something important to note here is that many times all the best items sell out before the sale is even open to the public. With that being said, if you can get early access, do it!
TIP 2: SHOP THE SALE WITH EARLY ACCESS.
Hot items sell out by the third day in the Anniversary Sale Early Access so early bird gets the worm has never been truer!! All you have to do is be a Nordstrom Card Holder. You can sign up for a Nordstrom Credit here. You can even sign up the day of the sale and use it immediately.
TIP 3: GET REWARDED.
Sign up for Nordstrom Rewards and get a $60 Nordstrom Note to shop the Anniversary Sale. As a Nordstrom Rewards member, you’ll get rewarded every time you shop with them (seriously—it’s that simple).
Depending on the level you achieve, you may be eligible for complimentary alterations, access to concierge service, access to purchase exclusive style experiences, private shopping parties, and an invitation to a Private Holiday Shopping Party.
TIP 4: PREVIEW THE SALE.

TIP 5: BUY NOW, RETURN LATER.
If you can’t decide, DO NOT let the items it sit in your cart or walk away. Buy them, and you can always return if you end up not needing the item. That is the perks of Nordstrom’s AMAZING return policy. I have missed out on so many items because I didn’t pull the trigger fast enough.
Pro tip: If an item is sold out in your size, buy it in another size and hold on to it!! They will sometimes restock the items after the sale ends, and at that point, you can just exchange the item for your size.
TIP 6: START YOUR SHOPPING HERE!

HOW TO GET A NORDSTROM CARD + PERKS:
As mentioned above, if you want early access to the sale on July 12th, you need to be a Nordstrom cardholder. I’m a cardholder myself and absolutely love being one! If you are interested in getting one, here are some things to know:
There are basically two options for a Nordstrom card. (1) A Nordstrom Retail card or (2) a Visa Signature or Platinum card.
With the Nordstrom Retail card, you earn 3 points per dollar spent in Nordstrom stores or online at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook or Trunk Club.
With the Visa card options, you get the same benefits as the Retail card and additionally, you get 2 points per dollar spent on dining, entertainment and travel and then 1 point per dollar, spent anywhere Visa cards are accepted.
