This post has been a long time coming and is one I’ve received so many requests for. I wanted to use these products for a few months and make sure they were really worth sharing before I recommended them to y’all. Turns out I am absolutely OBSESSED and so is my skin!! Today I’m excited to finally share with you guys my updated skin care routine with Drunk Elephant! Let me start by saying that my morning and night skin care routine takes only 5-7 minutes max. It’s so quick + easy which is one thing I adore about these products. Now let’s get started!
STEP 1: CLEANSE
Every morning and night I begin my skin care routine by washing my face. I’ll admit, I’m not exactly loyal to one particular face wash. I usually switch between Neutrogena, Tula and Kiehl’s. I’ve found that each of these products work great and are surprisingly comparable. Tula is a little more pricey and you can purchase Neutrogena at the drug store, but in my opinion they are both excellent products! I actually have yet to try Drunk Elephants face wash, but would like to in the near future.
STEP 2: APPLY SERUM
After washing my face, the next thing I do is apply a serum. I use 1 pump of the Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum at night and 1 pump of the C-Firma Day Serum in the morning! Using a vitamin-c is so important for your skin!! This particular serum is good for all skin types. It does things such as help improve uneven skin tones/texture, firmness, elasticity and dullness. The night serum has all the same benefits and in addition helps unclog pores. After using these my skin feels soft, clean and looks so GLOWY! I really can’t say better things!!
STEP 3: APPLY EYE CREAM
After I cleanse and apply the appropriate serum each morning and night, I then apply the Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream. I only use half a pump of the eye cream because a little goes a long way! I love a good eye cream and this particular one contains a brightening combination of eight peptides, five forms of vitamin C, and cucumber extract. It truly helps create firmer, stronger looking skin around the eye.
STEP 4: MOISTURIZE + REJUVENATE
Next in both the morning and at night I mix 1 pump of Drunk Elephant Protini Cream with 1 drop of the Marula Luxury Facial Oil. The Protini has to be my favorite moisturizer I’ve ever used! On Sephora’s website they say “think of Protini as adding a shot of protein to your smoothie” - This is so ON POINT! It helps reduce lines, wrinkles and sun damage revealing your best skin! I love the combination of Protini with the Marula Oil for so many reasons. They call this facial oil luxury for a reason and is truly a must-have staple skin care product in my opinion. It’s not only high in critical antioxidants but also deeply moisturizes, nourishes, soothes and rejuvenates your skin while restoring its youthful glow. This oil is perfect to use on even the most sensitive skin, is highly absorbable and leaves no residue behind. AMAZING!
STEP 5: APPLY SPF
I use the Umbra Tinte SPF in the mornings at the end of my skin care routine, right before applying my makeup. I’ll have to admit, only a year ago did I start applying SPF on my face and that is one of my biggest regrets. It is SO SO SO important to protect your skin from the suns harmful rays. This product not only provides UVA/UVB protection, but also helps aid in the prevention of free radical and oxidative damage as well as photoaging for a more youthful-looking complexion. The best part has to be that it’s tinted and leaves your face looking so dewy and glowy!! It’s the perfect first step before beginning your makeup routine.
WEEKLY TREATMENT:
1-2 times per week I’ll apply Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial. If you wan’t to try out one DE product before diving in full force, this is the product I recommend. The name doesn’t lie, your face will truly feel like a baby’s bottom after even the first use. This is comparable to a professional facial and you can do right in the comfort of your own home! After rinsing off the face mask, I then add 3 drops of the Marula Luxury Facial oil to the palm of my hand and apply evenly around my face and neck.
Sephora’s website says it best: “This product contains a whopping 25 percent AHA and two percent BHA, including our dream team blend of glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids to gently but efficiently resurface as it exfoliates the pore lining, getting rid of built-up dead skin cells by breaking down the substance that holds them to the surface.”
OTHER DRUNK ELEPHANT FAVORITES:
I have also enjoyed using the Drunk Elephant Pekee Bar and Juju Bar. I purchased the travel duo because of the 2-in-1 value! I keep both of these in my shower and use them for cleansing and exfoliating. Unlike soap, they have the perfect ‘ideal’ PH balance and many other benefits such as removing dead skin cells, unwanted oil, debris and other impurities!
Another favorite (not pictured) is the Lippe Balm. I keep this in my purse and am constantly reaching for it. I love how big the applicator is and how nourishing my lips feel after applying. The best lip balm I’ve ever owned, hands down!
